Nothing Is For Free

Keep the questions coming. The Magic Com Cen Eight Ball, new and improved (or so it claims), will be ready this weekend. Five will be picked. Go on, challenge the Eight Ball.

Today, Hawk may or may not have learned an important word. Veza. The Croatian-Serbian society views veza very seriously. Need a job at a government department? Need that special permit to go through without any problems? Knowing someone through veza will help one to achieve these goals. The connection between the two parties is not neccessarily monetary, but through favors, most of which of a personal nature. Call it good old bartering, if you like, except sometimes, it has to do with eliminating a life.

Collecting veza is very important over there. It might save Hawk's life in the future.

Trust and loyalty have always been foundation. Connections and bartering seems to have always been the way of running. Sometimes it just takes a voice of reason (A GEM) to remind. The neck that turns the head.
Has this just been an Agent trade?
How many personas are actually just 1 main character? Or 2?
How many names does Hawk have?
Hope this makes the top 5!

Destruction Angel, it has something like that in its meaning, but the connection is more than "oh, I know so and so who can do such and such for you to get such and such." It is more like: "I owe you my hand since you saved me from getting all my fingers cut off. Come to me when you need veza . I'll see what I can do...for a finger...." Insert evil grin.

So who gets axed or traded next? Whose life? Until the cheese stands alone? Does anyone even notice or care? I don't understand.

To the confused anonymous who's worried about axing and trading of operatives...dude, this ain't no baseball. And of course someone notices and cares. Life is precious to humans, you know.
