Underneath The Waves

Alex Diamond is known to some as Sasha Barinsky. "Sasha" is the familiar Russian term for Alexander...those Russians are so cute sometimes, dude. All these "Mishas" and "Nikitas"...and they are boy names. Where do they get the reputation of being cold and humorless?

Anyway, there is a message waiting for a Sasha Barinsky in Russia, asking how much he would pay for a certain weapon that's wanted by many people right now. At the same time, a certain very influential lady in Russia is also looking for this particular weapon for the authorities there.

Can "Sasha Barinsky" meet up with "very influential lady" before she gets her hands on it? Hmm. Why do I get the feeling, dudes, that there is another whole game underneath the main story? Double agents in a mission can make things so damn complicating. Which agent is sleeping with which? Surf's up, dudes! Insert evil grin.

Making A Big Deal

Lily made an interesting proposition. She wants to negotiate for her kids' freedom, then she will give herself up. Reed is convinced that she hasn't been reactivated. Question: Then why the sudden offer? Probability is still at 50 percent.

Can a Sleeper Survive Later?

Monitoring a discussion among certain people in the labs here: Activating and deactivating a sleeper cell is relatively easy. How does one remove embedded commands? Jed's solution: "We need the CIA book of magic words and magic acts. Then he made a call to TIARA's Rick Harden. I'm always trying to understand what this dude is talking about when he gets all vague and mysterious. Magic words and acts? I didn't know those CIA coats are...hmm...this must be one of those odd human ways of assigning names to objects that already have names.

I've heard that Harden has a shadow drive full of information into which no one has yet been able to break. I also heard there's this guy named Erik on his team who's pretty good at hacking into their systems. I would like to meet these two men.

But it's good that CCC is standing up on their side of the bargain to try to find a way not to eliminate Llallana Noretski. I'll have to find a way to let Amber Hutchens know. But the final choice does lie with the target, of course. She might refuse to be saved.

A Glimpse

Psst.

Gennita Low has been given permission to post an unclassified excerpt from The Sleeper files. Go to www.Gennita-Low.com and click on GEM tab. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the photographs and click on SLEEPINGGEM. Of course, it's all about Reed and Llallana in a state of undress. That appears to be the favorite thing to report about since Gennita isn't allowed to give other details. Very strange.

On other news front, Bradford Sun is considering an offer for promotion. He should take it. It will give him an opportunity to get away from Macedonia. Life does give some bitter twists.

K.I.S.S.

Dudes,

Let's make things simple for newcomers and make bullet points of what we have for The Sleeper Files, shall we? For those who really want to know all the original details, The Sleeper File started with a photo of Reed in civilian clothes and hair grown in May Archives. Look to the side. Yeah, there. Click on the month. Yup, sooo easy.

1) We're after Llallana Noretski.
2) We don't know whether she's been reactivated.
3) Reed's assignment--find out #2, find out whether she still has the weapon, and bring her in, or, if she's reactivated, eliminate her.
4) Someone's after Llallana too. Her name is on the black market list.
5) We intercepted a communication. De-encrypted--it's from a GG. There are many Gs to calculate probabilities. Gorman. Greta. Or maybe this was just a red herring.
6) We still do not know whether Llallana is really "herself." We have Amber Hutchens in the operations to assist us.
7) Reed's conclusion? He hasn't made any yet. Or he has, if you would just read his actions. *insert grin
8) We will set up a bait to find out who's after Llallana in the black market.
9) We end this once and for all--we will bring in Llallana and her handler(s). We will find Greta sooner or later.

That's it, in a nutshell, without the nice waves here and there about...oh, other activities of interest. Just remember, nothing is ever as it seems. Not here or where you are, dudes.

Any questions?

Psst. The Eight Ball dude reminds new readers that there is a link below this post that goes to the agent/Intel page. Gennita Low has parked her cheat sheet there, shamelessly showing off photos of half-dressed operatives.

I see a Plan D

T. has made significant progress in finding out more about G.G. There are three Courses Of Action. Plan A: remove him from Greta. Divide and conquer. Must find a weak link. Plan B: Insertion of COS commando. But they will be suspicious. Plan C: Go after their higher ups. This might take too much time for this operation.

Alex Diamond is flying over for a look-see. That's like insertion of a COS commando, isn't it? Not officially, of course. And since it's not a Course of Action, T doesn't need to know, right?

Wednesday, September 21, 2005

We have Intel confirming that G.G. is not Greta. Male. Ex-KGB background, similar to Greta. There are still elements from the Cold War and they haven't changed their minds about the "other side" one bit.

Alex Diamond is contacting his Russian friends about agents from the old system who hadn't turned themselves in. I've always wondered...what happens to old computers? Where do old spies go? And, lastly, most important of all, when do old surfer dudes catch their last waves?

Gennita Low assures me that she will answer at least two of those three questions when The Sleeper file is declassified. That's, what, in three months, dudes!

Conjecture

It was interesting to see how Reed, the quiet one, has taken charge. Do you think there will be problems between him and his commander, Hawk, if he were to successfully rescue our Lily and if he and she become a couple? I mean, you and I know what she did to Hawk's beloved Amber. Hawk, trust me, isn't as forgiving.

Head Cases

Did I hear you dudes yelling, like good little sandcrabs, "What weakness?"

Insert grin. Thought you'd never ask.

There's more to this VR thing but I can't reveal it yet. But the main weakness is that it's all in Hell's head. So who's going to trust that? Not a bunch of commandos. Not a group of lawmakers. And certain not ALL the other jealous agencies who want their candidates. So, they are waiting for COS Command to fail. We won't. Someone else's in Hell's head.

What's Diamond's weakness, you asked. You did ask, didn't you? Insert *evil grin. He has to stop allowing a ghost invade his head, dude. He'd better talk to Nikki. She has a lot to teach him about feeding hungry ghosts.

But nobody here's asking me.

Arrows = Movement of Operatives in the Outer Fringe

The dilemma of possibly eliminating Llallana is weighing on Reed. I can tell because I just noted a large transfer of money coming out of a certain Vincenzio account. But is anyone asking me?

What's happening in the outer fringe of this operation, you ask? If the virtual reality experiment stuff is so good, why don't they just send Hell in? Because there's a weakness in the concept, dudes. There's always a weakness.

Shark Bait

I keep checking out the pics Gennita Low put up on that Eight Ball page:

http://daglowworld.blogspot.com/

Dude, how did she sneak up on those poor guys when they were shirtless like dat?

Today, we're sending a message to the Admiral to get his SEAL team ready. We're going to need them. Incentive: the woman, Greta, is responsible for giving away information that got some of their brothers killed. Want her?

Is that bait enough, ya think?

For the Glow Worms

Your requests for a cheat sheet hadn't gone unheard. Wanna crawl through another wormhole in cyber space? I know you do....

Gennita Low has been working hard. She's asked our Magic Eight Ball permission to park in his space. Have you seen:
http://daglowworld.blogspot.com/

All your back stories and character profiles, sandwormies. It's still in progress, of course, but another place for you to play around in, dudes! Insert evil grin. You can also access this special place from her FAQ page. I'm sure you are all waiting with bated breath on T and Alex's photos. Insert widening evil grin. Believe me, T's won't do her justice.

Yes, yes, I know...you have many, many questions.

My What A Big Trunk You Have....

Remember Armando Chang, dudes? Well, something's wrong with him, in my calculations. He's been in training because of T.'s recommendation and he has shown remarkable knowledge, both in martial arts and how to infiltrate underworld off-shore bank accounts. COS has benefited greatly from this new asset.

But he's grown wilder. He's also starting to do magic tricks, for some reason. He told me he finds it amusing to make an illusion real and vice-versa. What does that mean? He did not clarify.

His appearance has also changed. Long hair. A love of cloaks. A sullen demeanor. But you know what? I kind of like it, dudes. He's not stable but I think he's okay in my books, especially when he made some of the the visiting uniformed dudes' brass salad disappeared the other morning. I had to give the Flyboy snicker.

Everyone's not really talking about the elephant in the room, though. It's Serum X. Methinks Armando took too much into his system too soon. But nobody wants to notice the elephant when the uniformed dudes are inspecting for weaknesses in the system. Not even me.

Link at Bottom and Link from Top

Dudes, did you see that Gennita Low has updated her FAQ page? Click on the link at the bottom of this memo and check out Question #3 and #4. I've also suggested that she release some FYEO classified excerpts for your Intel-gathering. She has agreed, so goodie for you, yes? I will let you know when she stops mulling over what to release.

Word from powers-that-be: Try to capture Greta alive. We have many questions for her. Ten years' worth. Rick Harden wants Greta alive too. After all, not so long ago, when Nikki Harden was captured, someone had given the orders to cut off his wife's hair, and he thinks it is Greta. Probability that he is correct: 90 percent.

The Other Side of The Coin

There is talk among the higher-ups to deploy Hell to seek the Isotope Explosive Device. A test of accuracy and timing. It will not be easy, even for a super soldier spy. Still talk, of course.

Reed reports that Llallana has an offer for the CIA, or the elements in the CIA who's controlling her, and she wants Reed to be the mediator. Interesting turn of events. And when and if she turns over the weapon to the "wrong" people, what will Reed our sharpshooter do? Probability of his doing his job is dwindling, dudes...dwindling.

The Honeymooners Are Back

Marlena Maxwell and Steve McMillan have finally returned from their honeymoon. They have been "honeymooning" at the oddest places. I know, since Jed has been tracking them...but dudes, Macedonia? There aren't any waves there! And the newly-weds aren't happy that they came home without more news about the missing couple, Cam and Patty, either. What, have they been working instead of doing that human honeymooning thing?

This is what I don't understand about humans at all. Why go on a honeymoon then? Now it's back to work. Marlena to Australia Gold Coast to relate a message to Mad Max. Steve McMillan to see Admiral Madison to liase about the current situation in Kosovo. Basically, STAR SEAL Reed Vincenzio still do not have the explosive device.

In my opinion, dudes, Reed is doing more honeymooning with Llallana Noretski than our M and Stash baby. I'll have to point this out to him when he comes online for a chat next time. Insert smirk. You just wait and see. Steve will find a way to the Gold Coast after a conversation with moi.

For The Coming Union

Question: What to give Vivi and Jazz as a wedding present? Any suggestions, dudes? I must be able to order it from online, of course. And nothing so expensive that human accountants will notice a big dip in the monthly budget. Insert grin. I thought about ordering fish to accompany that lonely thing in Vivi's fish tank but I don't think that's a big enough gesture from her favorite computer.

Stating The Obvious

Dudes, although it was obvious to ME from the start, word just came in from the GAO that the "Sleeper" operation is now officially declared as a counter-intelligence operation. That means more funds to catch a bigger fish, so to speak.

In ordinary surfer lingo: Counter-intelligence is the act of seeking to oppose the activities of spies and similar enemies. So now THEY are telling us, "yeah, there are some enemy agencies involved, besides thugs and terrorists." Duh. I wonder whether Jed McNeil rolls his eyes when he reads these "Orders"?

Distant Past Future Unions

Remember, dudes, nothing is ever what it seems in the GLOWorld. So yeah, you were shocked about T. and her supposed marital state. But hey, you were shocked when you found out about Alex being married too.

Jed was married once. Or twice. Or three times. Insert evil grin. Maybe not officially married, but hey, I know there's a couple of women out there he was THIS close to...umm...getting hitched to, dudes. Insert bigger evil grin.

How close was he to Amber Hutchens, anyway? Isn't that the question on your minds? I recorded them sitting at lunch yesterday, talking quite intimately. Hawk McMillan did join them later but I want to know what they were talking about before he appeared. Don't you?
