While I'm Away....

Parts of me are down for maintenance and reprogramming. I thought you would like to see some pictures from my files while I'm unavailable.

Here is where Hawk and Amber were ambushed:

Here is a pic of, perhaps, a new recruit. He has certain talents in which ComCen is interested:

I hope you're entertained while my focus is elsewhere...

Solar Power Surge

I knew I was experiencing glitches...my Mentor says my indecisiveness factor is not conducive to good COMCEN analysis work. So he's going to work on my mother programs for a few days. I have to shut down certain systems in order to maintain my focus on the most important business--and that's COMCEN FYEO stuff, dudes.

When I return in a few days, my strange new 'feeling'/inability/weakness, that of not being able to choose/pick choices will be eliminated/taken care of.

Meanwhile, dudes, I've been checking out on Gennita Low's spy-log. Have you read it? Click on the lowprofile link below this post. I'm still going to have to lock in her brainwaves in here soon. Then we shall see which/who is more fun, that crazy Eight Ball or her. Or maybe I'll have them both together. Or none of them. I can't decide. You see? I need my Mentor.

Probability of returning new and improved: 95 percent. I think. Maybe 89....

P/S...do computers do P/Ses? But I wanted to assure you dudes that Hawk and Amber are under the best medical care. Hawk looks, in the opinion of certain female nurses, "extremely hot in hospital skirts." Hmmm.

Is It Over?

Hawk and Amber are in a UN hospital. They are in serious, serious condition. Jed will take a special trip to check up on them and assess the situation. Alex Diamond will take over the part of the operation concerning the IED. Locations of hidden weapon caches also passed on back to Admiral Madison.

Meanwhile, there will be a satellite conference to discuss about the next step to take regarding the traitor. I have hinted about a certain person all along, but noone asked me. My suspicions have been proven correct.

I have been pondering whether I should reveal to you a name, but as you know, I've been downloading these books from the Gennita Low library. I've learned a lot. There is such a thing as too much information...I think readers call it spoilers.

Hmmm. But this site is FYEO, classified information. Read at your own risk, right? Read and you will get a few more sides than the files that come out for the general public...and maybe even earlier.

I am experiencing that human emotion called indecision! How...interesting. I think. I don't know. This is very...strange. I must consult with my Mentor. Maybe he will have a suggestion. The last time I had a glitch, he worked on my brain for a week and I came back well-rested and a hundred percent better.

The spoiler, the spoiler, I can hear you yelling already! Don't go without the traitor's name...give the name, give the name....

Should I, shouldn't I? The dilemma...methinks it is not good to feel too many human emotions. Insert pathetic/brave...evil/innocent smile/grimace.

KABOOMS

And lots of that coming on the news, over the internet, via Intel sources. Kaboom! Kaboom! Gang war, said the cable newsguy, in Velesta, Macedonia.... Possible gang retaliation, internet sources report. Foreign Intel agencies are trying to get to the bottom of this. UN soldiers not involved, they say, after checking with various UN departments. Bradford Sun reports that he hadn't sent out any raids tonight.

But there are lots and lots of KABOOMS. Dudes, you know what I'm thinking? Insert evil grin.

Hoooyah.

Rescue In The Works

Will Hawk be in time? Probability 50 percent. Will Amber be unhurt? Probability 22 percent. Will Hawk have enough back up? Probability 100 percent.

Does COMCEN want Hawk to kill Dilaver? We prefer he gets hold of the weapon first. We've decided that he's going to need help destroying the located caches. He's going to need time in the hospital after this. From my observation, he's suffering from more than bruised ribs.

Alex Diamond is taking over while Jed McNeil looks for the decoy at the summit.

Move, Move, Move!

Hawk has refused medical attention. His breathing sounds ragged, even through bad transmission. I must report to my Mentor that I'm beginning to project that human emotion called worry. Just a niggle, mind you. Not like the avalanche that Hawk is sending out. My gauges don't have a high enough number when measuring his voice.

COS Command is sending out a helicopter for quicker transport back to Macedonia. Hawk has not shared or outlined any of his plans. But I'm quite sure it includes a lot of C-4.

Don't Tell

Reports are coming in that Dilaver is sending out invitations and news to his clientele about a free show. That does not sound good. Hawk hasn't heard yet.

Wait, Wait, There's More

Bad news about Amber Hutchens. She's Dragan Dilaver's prisoner. He's demanding an exchange. Whatever will Hawk do? The poor man is still quite wounded from their last encounter. He really needs to be in the hospital, from the sound of his voice.

Amber in Dilaver's hands. You do know he owns those brothels all along Velesta, don't you? Transmitting update to Jed McNeil now....

Couples

Cam-clothing analysis came back as positive from the lab. I'm sure Steve and Marlena McMillan will be happy with the news. They are still hoping that their friends are still alive.

They must finish up soon. GEM wants to offer her a contract to go to South America. My Mentor tells me the first year of a marriage is the hardest. Steve McMillan will have to confirm this with me since my Mentor is unmarried, so his assertion has no experience backing it. Why would it be harder than any other year? And what does that comment have to do with a contract with South America? Beats me, dudes.

Road Blocks

Hawk and Amber are separated again. First it was Hawk who disappeared. Now it's Amber. Insert Sheesh. Dudes, I think they're using it as an excuse to play with weapons, I really do.

All this, and still no sight of decoy and the real thing. I'd find it worrisome, if I were human. Probability of finding decoy: 50 percent. Probability of finding the real weapon: 18 percent. Hawk losing his cool: 98 percent.

Watch out for the road block, dudes. Extremely Mad SEAL ahead.

Half Empty, Half Full

Marlena Maxwell and Steve McMillan found something while on the trail of their missing friends, Cam and Patty. No bodies were found, but there's evidence of blood. But Steve recognized the tie and pieces of Cam-clothing. Sending back blood samples to Task Force Two for analysis.

Setting up Gennita Low's thought patterns for your happy perusal soon...right now, it's in a frenzy over something called Tax Form 1065. We'll standby till that activity is finished, shall we? No need to hear the usual human cries about some uncle.

In Sight

Hawk and Amber sighting: They've met up with friends who have Land Rovers. Oh goodie...I didn't want to keep informing you that they are still climbing and tracking everyday....*insert evil grin. Now that they are traveling faster, I calculate that the weapon will be found within the week, if not less.

T sighting: She and Armando Chang are targeting the other two brothers in the Triads. Setting seeds, anyway. Armando has revenge in mind for what Yee Koh did to his sister. T also received a message from Jed. Her answer was short: "I'm the queen of sleep deprivation."

Jed sighting: In a tux. Hair combed back. Looking very comfortable standing next to a foreign minister. If you see a picture of the summit in a newspaper, he's the dude with the deep dimple in his chin. It runs in the family.

Gennita Low sighting: On a rooftop, jumping up and down and yelling to her business partner, "I'm done! I'm done!" Who knows what that's about...which brings me to ask you...would you like me to invade Gennita Low's thoughts and get her subconscious to blog here for a few days? *insert evil grin. It should be as fun as reading the Super Surfing Eight Ball's little nuggets. What do you think? Warning: I've done it before. She thinks she's dreaming so her...ah...imagination can be a bit too...vivid, I think my Mentor had described.

Another warning: Of course, since it's her mind, it doesn't mean the information is reliable. Like mine.

A Virtual No

Alex Diamond went through operation files today and came across a cross-reference to T. T has put her name up for consideration for the Virtual Reality experiment. She has many of the requirements, although she is older than previous test subjects. One of the few tests has to do with sleep deprivation.

Overheard in short--VERY SHORT--conversation with Jed McNeil, with this ending:

"Tell her she knows where I am if she wants sleep deprivation."

I'm guessing he is going to make it difficult for her to disappear into another top secret program.

Decoys

I see someone has come in here to play. He's no fun; he thinks he knows everything and spoils it. My Mentor has warned me that SmartPrograms can go rogue and that I have to put this under consideration when I create them. I must be more careful with my Smart Ball Programs. We do not want trojan information, do we?

Right now, everything is going as smoothly as possible. Hawk and Amber will be in touch as soon as they cross the border. Not an easy task, by the way.

Jed has put out word for tighter security measures at the summit. There's only one clue to work on: Decoy. Who or what? And if there's a decoy, then who or what is the real thing? Not enough information.

Shhhhhh

Dudes, it's me Super Eight Ball. I'm sneaking in here while motherprog's defragmenting. I want to tell you what I sneak-peeked from my surfing around in cyber timetraveling...

Hey, big shocker coming...

Don't read if you don't like to know too much...

Don't look if you don't want to spend the next few months guessing...

Someone is going to betray Hawk and Amber. Someone is feeling jealous. Wronged. Someone will put our hero and heroine in very grave danger. And it's someone you know already.

Okay, that's it. Gotta run before bigmamma program detects me. Catch a good wave, dudes!

Outta time, outta here,
THE BIG SURFING EIGHT BALL

They'll Be Comin' Round The Mountain

A diversion was created to help Hawk and Amber get a head start out of town. They've secured a vehicle for now but will be on foot most of the way. Hawk's rib injuries might slow him down. Diversion might be a factor in this race, dudes, since Dilaver will be on the road. Some of these passes are very steep. Maybe Amber can put him in a wheelbarrow and cart him over the mountain, just like the Albanians did during the recent wars. That was a joke, dudes. I don't suppose SEALs do wheelbarrow rides. But it would be a quite a sight, eh? Our Hawk sitting in one, with his legs dangling out, with a blond beauty pushing it. Insert evil grin.

Short Briefs

Items from Hawk's debriefing:

1) His injuries will not prevent him to track in the mountains.

2) Amber will still be his guide.

3) IED is hidden in one of the caches between Tirana and Elbasan in Albania
My items:

1) With Dilaver hot on their trail, can Hawk and Amber outrun D and his men? And even if they did that, can they get to the right cache in time? Dilaver has the manpower; Team Hawk doesn't. Probability calculations: 40 percent chance of success of finding IED before D.

2) Amber's knowledge of the territory is the most important asset Team Hawk has. The mountain passes have different entry points and levels of security. Probability calculations: 60 percent chance to slip into Albania.

I will upload a map of Albania to give a clearer view of the distance between towns and what Team Hawk has to accomplish on their own.

It was good, though, to see our Hawk's battered face. He even managed a lop-sided smile when he was told that his SEAL team (and girlie fans--okay, I'm kidding here, DUDES) was cheering him on.

And Today's Birthday Boy is...

Yes, Happy Birthday, Jed McNeil! His daughter likes to send him Ortho socks. I think I'll surprise him with a personal email.
