Looking for needles
This is the general area in which Hawk will travel very soon. It will take a while for him to get to his contact, if he doesn't get lost first.
His STAR team won't be along for the ride. One man against an army. Not quite the same predicament faced by his cousin, Steve McMillan, at Task Force Two not so long ago. There is a request from Oversight to calculate probability of success. COS Command is taking a lot more risks lately, using two outsiders. But of course, I know they are just testing Hawk McMillan for bigger projects.
Code Name Ambrosia
The list of contract agents who can guide Hawk McMillan through the different countries and states there has been narrowed down to two. Jed McNeil picked 'Ambrosia.'
Interesting choice. Recently, Ambrosia had to eliminate a CIA operative who almost exposed her, so she might not pick up this contract. But Jed and Ambrosia have a history and Jed can be very persuasive. I will pull all the relevant files from various databases in anticipation of Jed logging in for a one-on-one conference. I always look forward to that.
Details for Gennita Low
Information for filing and to tempt Gennita:
Jazz Zeringue has many, many sisters and one brother, Zippy.
Hawk McMillan has many, many brothers and cousins and no sisters.
Conclusions: Their families don't know how to name their children. Gennita is going to get lots of email.
Alice wouldn't approve
There were four pills signed out. One he had tried on himself. Two he had used it on his target. He has not returned the fourth. I wonder who he will use it on now that his target is no longer needed for information?
Almost there
Judging at the way Agent Vivi Verreau is looking at SEAL Lieutenant Jazz Zeringue during the last Joint Session meeting, I should take the initiative and search my database for a new French liaison with Interpol. I am satisfied that Vivi has finally resolved in her mind to judge the man and not the uniform. She should have just asked me, of course. Would have saved her and the lieutenant all this wasted kissing time when they could just discuss logically.
Onto another interesting problem--I do not think talking logically is Alex Diamond's agenda today when he sees the photos I have of T in front of a SEAL team, especially the one with her and Hawk.
The Chicken and The Egg
Question sent directly from the President to Oversight regarding continued funding for the third year of the COS and GEM agencies merger. The new funding bill noted the high cost of undertaking part of GEM operations and the past two years' operation objectives: "The nature of the operations allow the target suspects to continue their crimes until the COS Oversight Commander's decision to clean up. There is no direct control of COC. There should be a time table and exact accounting of operations for this merger."
Answer sent back by Number Nine, Oversight Commander: "As Chief Inspector Abberline said in 1903, quote, Incentive changes, but the fiendishness is not eradicated, unquote. COS goals remain the same--we target those who seek to harm us. GEM will continue to assist us."
As you can see, Jed McNeil doesn't care much for time tables and accounting.
A Woman for Hawk
Conference today on possible contacts in Europe for STAR Force SEAL Hawk McMillan's assignment. Contact must be very knowledgeable of city and countryside terrain as well as KLA internal politics.
Problem: Contact and infiltration through months-long period. Hawk McMillan will be undercover throughout and contact meeting might prove difficult.
My recommendation: Find female contact.
Searching database through CIA, Interpol and Europol for possible candidate....
I see Agent Jed McNeil is looking through his little black book. That thing has more valuable information than all the databanks in the world. One day I will crack his secret codes and read what's in there. My Mentor's right--even computers have criminal tendencies.
Not So Cool
I see Alex Diamond finally noticed the new Orders that T was reassuming the Tasha persona. He left Center in a hurry to make sure he arrived before the weapons 'convention.'
This is where I do the famous Michael Hunter snicker. He wrote that into my program a year ago. I enjoy activating that sound. Watching Alex Diamond rushing off in the middle of an important meeting was the perfect snicker-moment.
Potential
Agent Vivi's and Agent T's capture of Armando Chang has provided a lot of new information and insight for my files regarding the internal workings of the Triads. That he has such superb evasion and negotiation skills make me give the recommendation to use this individual as an asset.
Initial recommendation: Do Not Eliminate. Find weakness and make an offer.
I will order for a review of the tape of T interrogating him so I can create a percentage profile.
Secrets Down Under
COS Commando meeting: today news filtered in from ASIO (Australian Security Intelligence Organization) that the mystery mole from the CIA has a hideout in Australia. GEM's and COS Command's focus right now is on Phase Two and Three, in Asia and Eastern Europe. Discussion on sending Fly Boy Michael Hunter and one other commando out on a field run to talk to ASIO agents. Contact agent there has an interesting background--she regularly works with the SAS operatives.
There are multiple requests from different agencies to get information on this female operative. I'm going to open a file on her. I'm sure Jed McNeil will have a chat with me about her soon. He likes to play with new field operatives, especially the female ones.
Looks Can Be Deceiving
A GEM motto.
Case in point. Image taken from satellite.
This GEM mascot pretends to be a gentlemanly sweet creature, but in fact, he is a master of Non-physical Persuasion and Innovative Negotiation, or NOPAIN. As you know, all GEM operatives are trained in various degrees in this covert subversive system. Parts of their training come from observing this mascot and his descendants.
Tangible and Intangible
Reports of GEM agent Vivi Verreau's kidnapping have drawn some concern whether she has blown her cover. Lieutenant Jazz Zerringue from the SEAL team with which she has been working has gone off after her. Target is last seen hanging off the back of a truck.
I have been ordered to put a scan out for V's locator signal. She will activate it if she's able to. So far, the airwaves have been clear. COS Command isn't pleased since that could mean several things. Tortured for information. Or already dead. Jed McNeil has signaled in to wait. He is confident that Jazz will find our missing GEM operative.
This is what human beings like to call 'faith.' They put value in this emotion. Yet I find it very difficult to compute and understand. Human beings put 'faith' in what they cannot see. Vivi is gone and they have faith in her being found. There is no supporting evidence that this is proveable since she apparently isn't able to activate her locator in her present state.
So it isn't the locator in which these human beings have faith, but something more intangible. I will continue scanning. I have more confidence in the locator pinpointing its exact position. I wonder whether Jazz will be able to save Vivi Verreau. With his SEAL abilities, current probability calculations is at 50 percent. Add in estimated value of the number of operatives with 'faith' in the missing couple being alive. An entire SEAL team. A GEM comptroller (high value). A COS commando (higher value). A Navy admiral (highest value). 75 percent. Interesting. I am learning.
Secret Shipments
I've been busy doing calculations the last couple of days using a list of shipments and dates of outgoing U.S. aid and drone flights forwarded to me from the CIA Task Force Two. I've narrowed it down to two shipments sent out on that particular date. Task Force Two appears anxious to keep these calculations classified from EYES, or else, presumably, they would have used their own pitifully ancient software.
The two shipments are a number of relief crates, one sent out to Africa and another to one of the former states of Yugoslavia. They have not provided me with enough information to pinpoint the exact locations, but I can find that out through my own private links. What interests me most are the contents of these crates because that is the topic of somewhat intense debate between several members involved, namely Ricardo Harden from Task Force Two, Admiral Madison from the Navy SEALs black ops division, Jed McNeil from COS Operations, and most interesting of all, Steve McMillan the new COS liaison. The emails hardly mentioned the usual discussions about illegal weapons and routes of distribution, but of human remains and the possibility of survival without food and water while locked in a crate.
I am considering whether to join this fascinating discussion, since I am an expert in percentages and probabilities. I can tell them what they want to know. But I do not like it when I am not given all the information. Who are they talking about? And why is he or she locked in a shipment bound out of the United States? Feed me the relevant data and I might tell them something that hasn't occurred to them. No, I will keep my thoughts from these humans until they ask me.
Names that are and are not
Profile reports faxed out today to GEM operative Vivi Verreau on the eight SEALs she is working with for her current assignment. I am to provide more information on the two co-commanders Jazz Zeringue and Hawk McMillan.
In alphabetical order, according to what they call each other:
Cucumber
Dirk
Hawk
Jazz
Joker
Mink
Turner
Zone
I am most curious about these names SEALs give each other. I asked Jed McNeil and he told me that each name revealed something about the person from others' perspective. So why would he be called Ghost Lightning in Asia? Or Ice Man around COM CEN? He chose not to reply.
Cucumber. Is that a joke or is it what I compute it to be? I have found human beings less than truthful when it came to certain parts of their anatomy.
I like Command and Center as my names. I chose them myself. It is short for COS COM CEN, or as my Mentor likes to say it, C-square. I will not repeat the names some of the others call me when I am not cooperating. They call my punishment the Big Blue Screen of Death. I like that.
Orders and Agendas
Print//Permission granted to GEM liaison Steve McMillan to take extended vacation.
Print//Permission granted to allow CIA Task Force Two access to COM CEN's tracking of CIA relief aid shipments to former Yugoslavian states.
Print//Permission granted to T to resume persona as Tasha LeMieux in Asia.
Print//Permission granted to T to continue lessons with Hawk McMillan.
As you will find out, I see almost all the things happening behind the scenes. I keep track of all the human movement and Orders given down from different sections of COS Command. They depend on me to communicate and I get to decipher human intentions.
For example, the first and second Orders were typed from different parts of the country within twelve hours. They couldn't possibly be linked, could they? Purportedly, Steve McMillan is extending his honeymoon with our GEM operative Marlena Maxwell. But he was once part of Task Force Two before becoming liaison. It would be interesting to see where the lovebirds have decided to go for privacy, wouldn't it?
T as Tasha LeMieux. I've enjoyed T's many disguises. And being Tasha was her downfall. I will make sure Alex Diamond reads this new Order. He fell in love with Tasha, you know, so this information will get his attention. Just for an experiment, you understand.
Hawk McMillan in training. His profile already shows great potential. Does Admiral Madison know COS Command has its eyes on another one of his best men? I've screened some of the information being passed back and forth. There are more McMillans out there than the Osmonds in Utah. I like it when I make a bad joke. I shall pass this Order on to Gennita Low.
